This will be a shorter blog post. During the last few weeks, I have prepared a format for systematically studying and writing about ideas and principles. Why have I done that? Because ideas, attitudes, strategies and principles are immensely valuable to the lazy intelligent.
The Value of Ideas and Principles to the Lazy Intelligent
My work is based on the idea that certain people benefit enormously from knowing and applying the right attitudes, ideas, strategies and principles. I call these people lazy intelligent, and hopefully you are one of them! You perform with the help of your mind. Is it then not logical to want to make your mind as strong as possible? It is our minds that make us unique in the animal kingdom. Hard work and hustling can have great value as well and should not be underestimated. But the mind is the real source of our power. As lazy intelligent, we have two main avenues for being effective:
By understanding and learning that some tasks are vastly more important than others, and then focusing on the most important tasks
By increase the potency of the focus you give to those tasks
One way of “increasing the potency of the focus you give” is by applying leverage. And, in my opinion, a great lever (maybe one of the greatest) is the use of time-proven ideas, attitudes, tactics, strategies and principles. For that reason, I have taken time create a format for learning, writing about and sharing ideas and principles.
The New Format
The structure of my new format has two parts:
The Weekly Meditation: A weekly idea, attitude, strategy or principle, posted on X.
The Daily Aspect: A daily X-post where I highlight different aspects of the Weekly Meditation.
The Weekly Meditation is a weekly X-post that contains an effective idea, attitude, strategy or principle. These come from the world’s greatest doers and thinkers. I focus on the subject of the meditation as I go through the week to learn or reiterate how it can be used to benefit my life or work. I will not bore or spam you with the details. Great ideas have many aspects and can be applied in many ways. It is usually not obvious what these applications or aspects are. I therefore highlight a different aspect, application or perspective of the Weekly Meditation each day in a X-post called The Daily Aspect.
In addition to posting my Weekly Meditations and Daily Aspects on X, I will also post them here on my blog once per week. Over time, the idea is to build up a database or depository of ideas and principles on the blog.
Stay tuned!
